Problem Note 42689: 'EJB Exception: : com.sas.solutions.odcs.client.ReferentialConstraintException: one or more referential integrity constraints preclude deletion'

DetailsAboutRate It

If you are importing new, or deleting existing, exchange rate sets in SAS Financial Management release 5.1, you might encounter an error similar to:

ERROR removeExchangeRateGroupMapping() - u:dearmb - Error removing Exchange Rate Group 317 com.sas.solutions.odcs.client.ODCSRuntimeException: javax.transaction.TransactionRolledbackException: EJB Exception: : com.sas.solutions.odcs.client.ReferentialConstraintException: one or more referential integrity constraints preclude deletion: com.sas.solutions.odcs.client.model.VCubeID{321}
This error occurs when an existing exchange rate set is marked for deletion. For example, importing a new exchange rate set 'A' would require that the existing exchange rate set be deleted.

As a workaround, associate a different exchange rate set to your model. Once you do that, you should be able to proceed with loading your exchange rate set; the existing rate set should be able to be deleted and the new one loaded. You should also be able to directly delete an existing exchange rate set once you associate a different exchange rate set to your model.

This is marked as fixed and should function properly in release 5.2 of SAS Financial Management.
